Generating hyperpersonalized stories for kids with AI.
Launched the app to the public and onboarded a few additional friends. Early feedback has been positive but still have lots of plans to make this app better over time.
Biggest challenge has been cost of our AI, which has been dropping but our usage is pretty high overall.
Friends and family provided feedback over a few weeks and I tweaked the app to make sure it was safe for children and provided valuable and interesting content.
During this period, also experimented with other image models to find the one that best met the needs of the product.
I built an app so that my daughter could create her own stories. The app worked on my phone and allowed her to practice reading and using her imagination in her spare time (usually when I was putting her younger siblings to bed).
She showed some of her friends, and they loved it...which made me think i could productize it...
I started tinkering with Open AI text and image generation. Like lots of other parents I worked on making stories for my kids.
Over time, my prompts and images got more advanced and sophisticated and I started sharing these with friends to use with their kids.

I am telling my daughter a lot of stories. She feeds me with ideas. I am pretty much a human StoryCarftr. :-) I will check out the app, sounds really great. Good luck.
