Storymate

Hey IH community! 👋

A few months ago, I discovered writing as a hobby. I tried popular tools like Scrivener but absolutely hated its steep learning curve. I wanted something easier to learn but just as organized, so I decided to build Storymate.

As a new writer, here is the friction I kept hitting: My ideas were constantly scattered across Google Docs, Notion, and a dozen ChatGPT tabs.

Every time I got stuck and wanted to brainstorm, I had to copy-paste my outline, character bios, and lore into a new ChatGPT window and write a massive paragraph of context just so the AI could help me with one dialogue scene. It was a massive time and token sink.

So I built Storymate to solve my own problem. It combines Scrivener-style visual organization (visual corkboards, character sheets, world-building folders) with a built-in AI co-pilot that actually reads your entire manuscript and notes before responding. No more endless copy-pasting.

We are officially launching on August 1st, 2026.
