December 19, 2019 Formally launched [press + ProductHunt]

We've been prepping for some time to get this formal launch knocked out and today much of that effort culminated press release and a launch on ProductHunt.

The press release was written several months ago and I've been tweaking it periodically as we've refined the product to be more "press-worthy". There's more I'd personally like to do, but coming to terms with making progress on marketing and just constantly refining a product our users are telling us they like is something we must do. So we did.

The affects of the PR will trickle in over time, and we've been actively notifying our partners and friends in the industry about the PH posting. You can check that out here btw - https://www.producthunt.com/posts/streamkick

We'll see how this plays out over the coming days and hopefully have some useful info to share here.

Thanks!

November 9, 2019 Sponsored our first local Twitch meet-up

This felt amazing, as we've been members of the Twitch Orlando community for over 3 years. They've been great to us, and in turn we've done what we could to support them and help to grow the community. We've talked about sponsoring once MVP was done so once the opportunity came about we were all over it.

This was the first time we'd had to sit down and seriously consider what event attendance looked like once there's a live and functional product. The team turned around the deliverables on this so quickly. Everyone really rallied around the need and came through impressively.

The Twitch Orlando team took good care of us as well, ensuring we had time to present to the group at the first meet-up they were hosting in their new "forever" venue. We learned some lessons about setting up and redeeming promo codes in Stripe along the way that opened up new opportunities for us on the marketing front as well. The unintended consequences of an event like this cannot be overstated. Looking back we weren't fully prepared but we learned a ton and it was a great event. Looking forward to the next!

September 30, 2019 Secured the first StreamKick subscribers

Got the call on the plane headed back to Orlando that we'd had our first subscribers sign up from TwitchCon. Big news for the team that's been working on this project for so long, and dedicating their immensely valuable hours to StreamKick.

With this first batch we're able to solicit feedback from users who are quite literally "bought" in at this point. This also gives us more ability to reach a wider audience of viewers and continue to get the word out about the product. FeelsGoodMan

September 28, 2019 StreamKick beta is live!

We launched StreamKick during TwitchCon from the restaurant at our Hilton in San Diego. I've yet to experience a completely smooth product launch, and StreamKick was no different, but we pulled it off. Between the team we had assembled in San Diego, and the folks back home (and elsewhere), and about 6 hours of troubleshooting, we made it happen.

Feedback at TwitchCon was very warm. The live-streaming community has always been very vocal about what they like, want, etc. From that standpoint we've been super fortunate. It's enabled us to create a product that, even at MVP, satisfies real needs and disparity in the market.

We brought a lot home in terms of what we need to do next, so the event on the whole was a big success for us. Here's the next year, and hopefully exhibiting!
