Streamplayed
Text to speech converter for screenplays
I shared our app on r/Screenwriting on Reddit and it did really well. Loads of people commented, and gave us some great feedback. Beyond getting lots of people to try out our app, there was also great engagement, and all sorts of new ideas for things we could build for this community. I'm not sure if this app idea itself will really be that big of a deal, but being able to engage with all these people is really informative.

Today we passed 100 users! We got covered by a well known film blog called "No Film School" and that gave us a huge boost:

The feedback we're getting is really positive, along with some good ideas for ways we could try and improve the service.
We'll see if there are some other film type blogs we can reach out to for coverage. In the meantime we'll keep trying to make the service better!

We've recently passed 30 users, pretty much all of which have converted a screenplay into audio. We've had some pretty good feedback so far, and people seem to find the service to be valuable.
We have mostly just been emailing my colleagues network to get people to try it and there has been a little word of mouth, but we haven't really done any other "promotion" so far.
It's a super niche product so we'll see if there's really any market for it once we start charging, but it's been a fun product to work on as a developer.

My buddy works in Hollywood and has to read between 20-30 scripts every month. We built this so he could get some of his "reading" done while he sat in LA traffic.
