Street Bites
Food Truck directory, Foodie fan site
Just launched street-bites.org after fighting with AWS SES for over a week.
It's a laravel driven site with livewire and tailwind.css to make it snappy and some alpine.js on the front end to give the look and feel.
SES approval went from pending for over a week to a full on denial, so I pivoted to Resend and now it is actually a functional product. Full truck entry by any user to populate the system with some intensive moderation built in.
The repo is available to trail if you are interested in such things:

I also have a YouTube playlist where I tracked my progress and pain points. I'm sure it is way too much content and boring to watch, but you might glean some interesting nuggets from it.

All self hosted on AWS with terraform driven infrastructure. Really flexed my architecture background and leveraged AI to help me do a lot of the dev work.
About
This was started out as a little tool to set on my profile, but has grown way more complex and interesting than I intended. It started out as a way to demonstrate my skills, but became a passion project worth seeing.

What I found interesting is that your biggest obstacle wasn't building the product—it was everything around getting the product into users' hands.
It's a good reminder that infrastructure decisions often shape the product just as much as application code. Sometimes the fastest path forward is changing the dependency rather than trying to force the original plan to work.
