Stress Less
Stress Tracking & Reduction App
Finally launched the app on Product Hunt and it became the #4 Product of the day! This was very surprising and exciting. At this point I haven't worked much on the app and haven't added any new features in the past few months.
The Product Hunt launch brought in about 100 new users 7 of which converted to paying customers. Overall way more successful than I was expecting!
It's been a long slog to get here, but Stress Less just passed 1,000 signups! This has been the result of several efforts, including word of mouth, social media marketing, and paid ads.
At this same time the app made ~$125 from ad revenue. Definitely
progress but not enough yet to be more than a side project.

It took about 2 months, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for Stress Less. I worked mostly nights and weekends, and I coded the whole thing in Swift with Firebase as a backend. In hindsight, there were a few features I built that probably could've waited until later.

The real main goal was to build an iOS mobile app, and the plan was to do it in about a month. I was in between jobs and wanted to give a mobile app a shot. Mainly wanted to learn what I didn't know about getting an app live.
The idea for a stress tracking app was a combination of things. Firstly I really did want a way to predict when i would be stressed and identify the causes of my stress. Additionally, I felt that the idea, compared to some other ideas, was a realistic app that I could build. Some of the other ideas were a bit more complex.

I wanted a way to track my own stress level day to day, with the goal of being able to predict what and where would cause me stress.
