April 30, 2026 Got My First Acquisition Offer (But Said No)

Sharing my experience of shipping a new feature in Studdymate AI and unexpectedly receiving my first acquisition offer—all while building in public.

Btw, this happened pretty early. I was still improving the product, fixing small UX issues, and pushing updates almost daily. Then out of nowhere, I got an email showing interest in acquiring the product.

Here’s what I did:

I focused on implementing a feature that actually solved a real user need instead of just adding something flashy. I paid attention to how users were interacting with the platform—where they were getting stuck, what they were asking for, and what could make their experience smoother.

After identifying a clear gap, I shipped the new feature quickly and made sure it was simple, useful, and easy to access. Then I observed how users reacted to it and kept iterating based on real feedback.Around the same time, I received an acquisition offer. It was exciting, especially as a solo builder, but when I evaluated it properly, it didn’t align with the long-term potential I see in Studdymate AI.

The numbers:

• Continuous feature updates shipped within days

• Improved user engagement after the new feature

• First acquisition inquiry received early

• Decided to reject the offer based on future vision

The reason it worked:

Shipping fast and solving real problems created visible progress. That traction made the product more attractive, even at an early stage.

But more importantly, I wasn’t building just to sell—I was building something I believe has much bigger potential. Saying no wasn’t easy, but it was the right decision based on where I see this going.

Still early, still building—but moments like this validate that I’m moving in the right direction.

April 28, 2026 How I Fixed Dozens of Bugs & Improved UX by Dogfooding My Own AI Product (Studdymate AI)

Sharing my experience with fixing bugs and improving user experience in Studdymate AI—and how using my own product daily helped me catch critical issues faster and ship better updates quickly.

Btw, we’re fully live now, and most of our early improvements came directly from real usage within the first few days. Every bug fixed immediately improved retention—which is something you only truly understand when you dogfood your own product.

Here’s what I did:

I started using Studdymate AI like an actual student, not a builder. I intentionally pushed edge cases—complex questions, long sessions, repeated queries, and different devices (mobile + desktop).

At the same time, I closely monitored user behavior:

  • Where users dropped off

  • Where responses felt slow or confusing

  • Which features were ignored or misunderstood

Whenever a bug or friction point appeared, I didn’t just fix it—I traced the root cause and simplified the flow around it.

I also encouraged early users to share raw feedback through DMs and directly observed how they interacted with the product.

The numbers:

• Dozens of micro-bugs identified and fixed within days
• Noticeable drop in user drop-offs after key fixes
• Improved session time and repeat usage
• Faster response consistency across devices

The reason it worked:

I wasn’t relying on assumptions or waiting for large-scale data. I experienced the product exactly like my users did—at the moment of friction.

Most early-stage products fail not because of lack of features, but because of small UX issues that stack up. Fixing those quickly created a smoother experience and built trust with early users.

Still iterating, still refining—but this process helped me turn early chaos into a more stable and usable product as a solo founder.

Happy to answer questions if anyone wants to build and improve this way

April 28, 2026 How I Used My Own AI Tool to Get 80+ Users in Days

Sharing my experience with launching Studdymate AI and how I used my own product to attract highly relevant beta users fast—and actually validate it under real pressure before scaling.

Btw, we’re fully live now, and we started seeing real user engagement within the first few days of launch. Not massive revenue yet, but strong signals—and yes, this is exactly what people call dogfooding.

Here’s what I did:

I used Studdymate AI itself to solve real student problems and simultaneously understand user intent. Instead of chasing random traffic, I focused on students actively struggling with homework, concepts, and daily study friction.

I tapped into platforms where students are already asking questions (Reddit, Discord groups, Instagram DMs, and comment sections). Whenever I found someone asking for help, I used Studdymate AI to generate high-quality, instant solutions—and shared it with them directly.

At the same time, I positioned the product through short-form content and replies, showing real outputs instead of just talking about features.

The numbers:

• ~300+ visitors in the first few days

• 80+ sign-ups organically

• Consistent daily engagement from students

• Ranked within the top 12 on web platforms shortly after launch

The reason it worked:

I wasn’t targeting “users”—I was helping people at the exact moment they needed a solution. Instead of pushing a product, I delivered value first. That made Studdymate AI feel like a tool they discovered, not something being sold to them.

Also, building in public and improving based on real conversations helped refine the product way faster than guessing features.

Still early, still improving—but this approach gave me real traction as a solo founder without spending on ads.

April 15, 2026 I Almost Give Up

At first, I thought my project had failed. No visitors, no users, no one buying anything—it felt like all the effort was going nowhere. But then something changed.Suddenly, traffic started coming in. People began visiting my website, and even better—some of them actually subscribed. That moment gave me a whole new level of motivation. It reminded me that growth takes time, and just because things are slow in the beginning doesn’t mean they’ll stay that way. This small win has pushed me to work even harder. If you're building something and feeling stuck, keep going—you never know when things might turn

around.

April 14, 2026 My core

Studdymate AI started from something very real. I saw how many students struggle with their studies not because they lack ability, but because they don’t have access to proper guidance. Not everyone can afford private tutors or expensive books, and that gap makes learning much harder than it should be.I wanted to build something that could help those students — something simple, always available, and actually useful. That’s how Studdymate AI came to life. It’s my attempt to make sure that any student, no matter their background, can get help when they need it and keep moving forward in their education.

Honestly, one thing I’m noticing lately is that launching the tool is only half the problem now.
There are so many AI tools coming out every week that users usually search things like “X vs Y” or “best alternative to…” before deciding.

That’s partly why I started building AIToolsRecap — focused more on comparisons, reviews, and helping tools get discovered at the decision stage instead of just being listed in a directory.

Your product actually feels like a good fit for that kind of search intent 👍
