Subnesio
Subscription tracker that never touches your bank
Quick honest update on Subnesio, my subscription tracker (no bank connection — you add subscriptions manually).
The numbers this week aren't pretty:
- Visitors: 19, down from 38 the week before (-50%)
- New signups: 1
- Total live accounts: 7
- Clicks from Threads, where I reply every day: 3
That last one is the one I keep staring at. My whole top-of-funnel bet is replying in other people's threads about subscriptions. Back in May, ONE comment under someone else's post sent 188 people to the site. A full week of daily replies got me 3.
So the lesson isn't "reply more." That May comment landed in a thread that was already alive — people were already arguing about the topic. Everything else has been me talking into an empty room.
What I'm changing next week:
- Fewer replies, only under threads that already have motion and where my answer is actually useful.
- Treating directories as the slow-but-real channel — listed on SaaSHub and AlternativeTo this weekend for the backlinks and trickle traffic.
- Fixing my analytics: half my signup events aren't even firing, so I've been flying partially blind.
What's working: the people who do land, stick. One user is tracking 24 subscriptions in there. Tiny, but real.
If you're also building in public with single-digit users — how did you find the channel that actually moved the needle? Genuinely asking.
About
I kept forgetting my own subscriptions and getting surprise renewals. Other apps wanted my bank login; I just wanted reminders before each charge. So I built Subnesio — no bank connection.

The thing I'd be nervous about isn't the traffic drop.
It's how quickly a single successful comment can become a distribution theory.
Those are easy to confuse when the numbers are still small.
