June 10, 2026 Got Your Subscriptions Under Control?

reading my bank statement like a true crime podcast: who is this charging me $11.99? What did they want from me? Did I love them once? Subscription Keeper exists so I never have to investigate this again. don't know how many times I got charged by services I forgot. It would have been a nice dinner with my family.

I built this because I wanted to use one, and I didn't want to pay for a subscription tracker (you see the irony there?). So Lovable, and I built this with some support from Claude.

Subscription fatigue usually shows up slowly, until people realize they’re paying for tools they barely remember signing up for.

What tends to matter more than tracking itself is how quickly someone can identify whether a charge is actually useful or just forgotten.

Do users treat this more like a one-time cleanup tool, or something they keep checking regularly?

Hi Muhammad, I don't know yet. But I use it as a checking tool. Every time I sign up for a new subscription, I put the info into the Subscription Keeper. It helps me to keep track of my expenses and get an overview of how much I spend.

The thing I'd be careful with is that forgotten subscriptions and paying for a subscription tracker may not be the same problem.

A lot of people agree they waste money. Far fewer decide today is the day to do something about it.

That gap tends to matter more than the feature list.

I wouldn't make the actual call casually in a thread because getting it wrong can make a useful product look like it has no demand.

Hi Aryan, it might have no demand. I know it really helped me. On the first go, I found subscriptions costing $78 per month that I didn't use and had forgotten about. That's $936 a year that I recovered and can spend on my family. And keeping track will probably make me manage these subscriptions with more intent. But it might just be me.
What would help you? What would you expect of such a tool?

That's exactly the part I'd be careful with.

I don't think the interesting question is what would help me or what I'd expect.

I think there's a more important decision sitting underneath those questions.

I wouldn't try to unpack that properly in a thread because getting it wrong can create very convincing signals either way.

If useful, drop your email and I'll put together the tighter version.

About

I built SubscriptionKeeper because I kept getting charged for stuff I'd forgotten I'd signed up for, and "just be more organized" clearly wasn't working. One screen. Every subscription. Helps me, might help others too.
