I’ve been obsessed with cloud costs lately because they are the ultimate 'startup tax.' While building SubTrackHub, I realized most of us just need a quick reality check on our spend.
I built 'The Cloud Bill Roast' (https://subtrackhub.com/roast) to be that reality check.
No IAM roles, no deep scans—just input your spend vs headcount and let the AI roast you.
Would love for this community to try it and tell me if the AI is too mean? (One user got called a 'non-profit dedicated to funding Bezos' third yacht').
I’m noticing a pattern while building SubTrackHub:
Teams know how much they pay for SaaS,
but not:
– which tools are actually being used
– which accounts/orgs are inactive
– which subscriptions are “zombies”
Most solutions stop at bank-level tracking.
How are you handling this today?
Finance tools, internal dashboards, or manual audits?
