In just one weekend, I turned a newsletter FOMO fix into a startup reality. Meet SummaLetter, your weekly summary digest. It's a tool that condenses your newsletter subscriptions into one weekly summary digest, addressing the common issue of newsletter overload.
Here's the scoop:
🎨 Branding Adventures: The journey began with a name – SummaLetter. Then, with Brandmark.io help, I designed a logo that embodies simplicity and efficiency.
🛠️ Backend Wizardry: Fastgen was my choice for the backend. Its user-friendly interface allowed for smooth OpenAI integration.
💻 Bubble: Focusing on Bubble, I prioritized a user-friendly and intuitive app. My goal was to ensure ease of use while maintaining a sleek design. Did I already mention how much I LOVE Bubble for its possibilites and speed? ❤️
📧 Email Integration: I implemented MailerSend for efficient summary dispatch. It was crucial that the emails were both functional and appealing.
💳 Simplifying Payments: Setting up the subscription model was a snap with LemonSqueezy.
🕒 In total, I spent about 11 hours on development (tracked by Cluee.app), plus some extra time for learning new tools and marketing efforts.
The end result? A fully-functional app crafted in just a weekend. This project really showcased the power of #nocode! Thrilled to share this journey and keen to hear if you've tackled similar weekend projects. 🙃
