The Smarter Way to Plan Travel

Visit Website
August 10, 2026 We think AI is solving the wrong problem in travel. So we're building Sunnys.co

Travel planning has become a research project.

You start with a simple idea:

“I want to take a great trip to Italy.”

Then comes the rabbit hole.

Flights. Hotels. Neighborhoods. Restaurants. Activities. Transportation. Reviews. Google Maps. Reddit. Instagram. Blogs. Spreadsheets. Open tabs everywhere.

AI has made it incredibly easy to generate a beautiful itinerary.

But generating an itinerary isn't the hard part.

The hard part is figuring out what actually makes sense for you.

Where should you stay?

How much time should you spend in each place?

What fits your budget?

What's worth doing—and what's not?

How do you put everything together without spending hours researching?

And for travel agents, the problem is even bigger. A huge amount of time goes into repetitive research, comparing options, organizing information, and turning a client's ideas into an actual trip.

That's what we're trying to change with Sunnys.

We're building AI tools designed specifically around the real travel-planning workflow—for both travelers and the people who plan travel professionally.

The goal isn't to replace the human side of travel.

It's to eliminate the tedious parts.

Less searching.

Less copying and pasting.

Less jumping between 20 different websites.

Less time building the trip.

More time actually enjoying it.

We're still early, and we're building Sunnys in public because we want to solve a real problem—not just add another AI chatbot to travel.

So I'd love to hear from this community:

What's the one part of planning a trip that you wish AI could just handle for you?

And if you're a travel agent:

What's the most time-consuming part of planning a client's trip that you wish you could automate?

We're listening.

The “beautiful itinerary” point is spot on. Getting a list of places is easy; figuring out whether the whole thing actually makes sense together is where the time disappears.

Curious whether travelers or travel agents are giving you more interesting answers so far.

About

After personal experience of using my time organizing my own family's travel, I knew there must be a better way. Chatgpt helped a lot but still would not give all the help that I needed. Hence I created my own solution
