Redirect your users according to conditions you define
It has been a few week since the basic MVP was out. With some users and I, we intensively used the MVP to challenge its performance and the way it worked.
I learned a lot in the process: what should figure in the reporting/what shouldn't, what the onboarding process should look like - and of course a few bugs here and there 😬
It's much more smooth now! Amongst all the changes since the MVP, here are the main ones:
✅ A little onboarding process's and tooltips are in place
✅ Made a features pages getsupalink.com/features
✅ Reading your dashboard is much easier (it allows to see which links and directions are working the best)
✅ Referrers list grouped by domain
✅ Get your device/referrer/language stats per link and globally
I still have a few things to confirm/optimize to get things solid, but it's on the right way 🙌
It took 10 days (!) and I learned a lot during the process, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for supalink.
I documented the journey here: https://twitter.com/Al_Canari/status/1140763946569388034
I worked mostly nights and weekends, and I coded the whole thing in Ruby on Rails since that's that I'm the most comfortable with.
I still have a lot of potential features in mind, but this could wait, the core product's here. 🎉

I would have used this product in my previous jobs, especially in the cases where I NEEDED to spread the traffic to the correct landing pages, setup in the right language (same for "Download the app" redirection)
