Initial Sponsorship Launch
I started by offering one week, two week or one month sponsorship slots. I sold out of all available slots within two days. So far, that's just under $2,500 of revenue for the next three months.
For the next slots, I'm going to experiment with raising the price of the one month slot, do away with one week and up the price of a two week slot since my customers are business - which in a way makes these a B2b product.
About
I wanted to explore my love of writing more. I've written about iOS APIs, tech in general and indie life for years, but I want to grow that into a business to diversify my income. Love what you do and get paid for it!

Congrats Jordan and thanks for sharing your experience.
Sponsorships are much better for the user experience as it keeps them relevant to your users unlike filler ads 😊
I think so too, very happy with how they turned out!
nice! can I ask how you calculated the pricing? Was it based on visitor numbers, etc?
At first, I thought that was the best way to do it - but honestly, I don't think it's as important as you and I probably think it is.
I just looked at my fellow peers in this space, who run sponsorships too. I based my pricing off that. My first lesson, though, is that I undercut myself. I should've charged more and I will in the future.
