SwipeWell

We started working on SwipeWell in February of 2022 after meeting on Twitter. I (Corey) was fed up with trying to keep a swipe file in Notion after trying Pinterest, Evernote, Google Drive, and every other generic tool. I also have nice overlap with my existing audience of SwipeFiles.com, which I figured would help us get some initial traction. We committed to building an MVP with a Chrome extension to see what the response was like.

After building out the MVP and getting some users, it was clear that the idea had a lot more potential than we originally realized. So we doubled down, building more features and launching side projects to gain traction. We manually onboarded every user on a call for the first ~150 users. Users would hit a paywall on their free account after making 50 swipes, which converted to our first customers. We just crossed $100 MRR and just opened it up for anyone to sign up without having to hop on a call.
