July 28, 2026 I got tired of ugly, ad-cluttered timezone converters—so I built SyncHours (0ms interactive overlap matrix)

Hey Indie Hackers! 👋

Like many of you, I manage projects and collaborate across multiple time zones daily. Every time I needed to schedule a call or check a regional overlap, I ended up on dated timezone sites filled with heavy banner ads, slow page reloads, and clunky drop-down menus.

I wanted something fast, clean, and modern—so I built SyncHours.

It’s a zero-friction, dark-mode micro-utility built specifically for remote teams, digital nomads, and global founders.

The clean UX angle makes sense because timezone tools are usually built like old calculators.

The bigger challenge with utilities like this is becoming the default tool people remember when the problem appears, not just a nicer alternative they use once.

I built SyncHours because I got tired of the friction, clutter, and aggressive ad banners on existing timezone tools every time I needed to schedule a call across multiple time zones.
