May 12, 2026 Why I'm building Syncific

My partner is a photographer. After every shoot, she'd export from Lightroom, rename files, resize them, upload to her WordPress site, then do it again for her Shopify store, then again for the client's brand portal. Hours every week, every shoot. I'm an agency owner — 16 years building WordPress sites — and I kept watching her do this and thinking this is insane, the tools already know each other, why doesn't this just work.

So I tried to fix it for her. That turned into a WordPress plugin. The plugin turned into a platform when I realized every agency client I had was doing the same dance — designers exporting from Figma into Dropbox, marketers pulling from Canva into HubSpot, e-comm teams pushing Lightroom edits into Shopify. Nobody had built the layer that just makes creative assets flow from where they live to where they need to go.

The deeper I got, the more I understood why nobody had. OAuth at scale across seven creative platforms is genuinely hard. Adobe took three months to approve us. Canva took three months. Each integration is a relationship, not a weekend project. That's the moat — and it's also why the problem persisted. Someone had to sit through all those approval queues.

Today Syncific connects 7 creative sources (Lightroom, Figma, Canva, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Shutterstock) to 5 native CMS destinations (WordPress, Shopify, HubSpot, Contentful, Webflow) plus unlimited webhook endpoints. Patent-pending broker architecture holds every credential server-side. Live MCP server means Claude can drive the whole workflow conversationally.

Anyone else here build something that started as a fix for one person? Curious how that scaled for you — and whether the "solve it for someone you love" framing held up or eventually broke down once real customers showed up.

About

Designers and photographers shouldn't be manual file movers. The tools already know each other — someone had to connect them.
