January 21, 2021 First paying customer!

Three days after our launch, we got our first paying customer! I had read before about how great that first 'Payment of ...' email from Stripe feels, but I was still surprised by just how good it felt. Getting paid feels like a kind of validation that the product is helpful to users other than myself. It's such great motivation!

January 18, 2021 Launched first version 🎉

I'm so excited to share the first version of tabExtend, the browser extension is now approved in Chrome store, Edge add-ons and Firefox add-ons!

Last year I had a newfound focus that I never had before in my life. So what changed? I had a second daughter early in the year and a full-time job. The funny thing is that having less free time made me more focused. When I did have an hour to spare, I worked on completing those tasks, on the to-dos list, that would move the project forward.

The time shortage also shaped the product being that in essence it's a productivity tool and I was using it myself to structure my work and topics to learn.

I redesigned and rebuilt it a few times, spent waaay too much time on certain stuff but I learned a ton of valuable lessons on product design and development. My humble goals for tabExtend right now is that the app will pay for itself.

About

The classic scratch my own itch. I wanted a page where I could easily drop and save my tabs into different buckets. Additionally i wanted to be able to set titles and emojis for the buckets and also adding notes.
