by GeorgeI accomplished this by starting almost a decade ago. And I just kept maintaining the extension and improving it. If only I could decrease my uninstalls, the number might be 5x.

Mostly just by talking to people that reach out or make themselves available. I've tried to incrementally improve, but I probably need someone that doesn't think about DOM structure to design the extension such that you don't need to think about DOMs.
