April 29, 2026 Hello IndieHackers!

Hey everyone - I’m Aakash, a developer currently building TabMate.

The idea came from a context switching problem in my own workflow - too many tabs, too much copy-pasting into AI tools, and too much context getting lost between pages, notes, and chats. The bigger the research task, the worse the mess became.

TabMate is my attempt to fix that by turning the browser into a proper research workspace where notes, saved evidence, and questions stay connected across sessions.

It's live and free to use, but I’m still learning how to position it and who feels this pain most sharply. If you do research-heavy work in the browser, I’d genuinely like to know - does this problem sound real to you, or am I overfitting to my own workflow?

About

I built TabMate because my research got scattered as it scaled. Too many tabs, too much copy-pasting, and too much lost context. I wanted one browser workspace where notes, sources, and evidence stay connected.
