May 16, 2026 Testing local-first sync for Tabsy: Bringing order to tab chaos across devices.

Hi everyone! I’m the developer of Tabsy (https://gettabsy.live).

What is Tabsy? It’s a Chrome extension designed for people who live in "tab chaos." If you constantly have 50+ tabs open, you know that standard bookmarks are too static and browser history is too messy. Tabsy bridges that gap by letting you organize active tabs and links into Project-based Collections.

Current Status: The extension is officially live on the Chrome Web Store! It currently works in a local-first mode, which is great for privacy.

What I’m working on right now: I am currently in the "lab" testing the database integration for Cloud Sync. I’m running local tests to ensure that when you save a research session or a work project on one laptop, it’s instantly ready for you on another.

Tech Stack:

  • Frontend: React + Vite + Tailwind CSS (shadcn/ui).

  • Backend: Fastify (Node.js) + PostgreSQL.

  • Extension: Manifest V3.

My goal is to make the transition from local to synced as seamless as possible without losing the "privacy-first" feel. Stay tuned for the sync update!

About

I built Tabsy because I’m a heavy browser user who constantly struggles with "tab hoard." At any given time, I have 50+ tabs open across multiple windows. Standard bookmarks felt too static and hard to organize for tempo
