I don't know how it happened to be honest. I was testing using Gumroad instead of Snipcart for selling since it involved less integration work. I had it all set up on Gumroad, templates' files, and all and connected it to my site but haven't announced it anywhere yet. The website was open to google through. I can only think they found me on Google and went ahead and bought it.

I woke up that day and saw the Gumroad email. I thought it was a mistake and that the customer would ask for a refund or something. I waited a few days and no refund request came. And Gumroad finished the verification of my account and finally deposited the money on my Paypal account.

It was official, I had made my first sale. This was the first time in my life I earned money by not directly trading time for it. In fact, I earned it while I was sleeping. It was surreal! But I was hooked.
