The traffic from Twitter had reduced a lot by now. In the evening I had Google Analytics opened when suddenly I saw dozens of users come from laravel-news.com. They had posted an article about the app (https://laravel-news.com/tailwind-css-online-code-editor).

I used this opportunity to make a Show HN post (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=20653942) and link it from the navbar of the app. This resulted in my submission reaching the front page of HN within an hour and 10 votes. After that I guess HN users really liked the app and I ended up being on HN's front page for 12 hours, peaking at #4.

I got over 5000 unique visitors over the next 48 hours and over 70 new signups.

August 5, 2019 1k+ Likes, 250+ Retweets on Twitter Launch

This was the first public release of Tailwind.run(). I posted a link to the site with a screencast of its features in action (https://twitter.com/utkarshkukreti/status/1158323716515778560) and tagged the creator of Tailwind CSS (Adam Wathan) . As I had hoped, he retweeted it to his 37k+ followers and within a few hours I got 250+ retweets and 1k+ likes. Ended up getting around 1500 unique visits (according to Google Analytics) in the next 2 days and about 50 signups.

About

Tailwind.run() is the first and only way to try Tailwind CSS's build time configuration completely in the browser, without having to install the Tailwind CLI package.
