Takeminutes
Effortless, collaborative minutes-taking app.
Today I'm releasing a brand new landing page that tries to better explain the value proposition of the project and to get the attention of new users.
I'm also releasing a blog where I plan to keep a record of Takeminutes updates.
In parallel I've been working on the collaborative sessions feature.
Now the goal is to:
- Improve the export function
- Finish collaborative feature
For some other reasons I didn't progress much with this project since I built the MVP. It was thinking about how could make it valuable for the users.
I had a collaborative feature more or less working but wasn't ready for launching to the public.
I decided to release what I had until now (no collaborative editing for now) so people could start trying the app. I think you need to ship to move forward.

After one month more or less I had an MVP that I shared with some friends that were interested in the topic and got some feedback.
I decided that to launch it it would require other cool features like collaborative editing that would make the product more valuable as the MVP was not enough for me.

Pandemy hit and I decided to build something. This idea that I had before was a perfect excuse to start building a modern webapp.
As I had not much experience on modern web development I had to catch up with React, etc.
I started developing the first MVP at the same time.

Since my previous job (many months ago) I had the feeling that taking minutes for non formal meetings took so long and the process was a bit painful. It was not standarized and each people did their own way.
Also it was a pain because the one having to take the minutes had to either bring the laptop or bring a notepad and then copy to a email.
I though that there should be an easier way to do this and I though I may be able to do something.
