We've been developing content experiences for over 15 years. But we've never worked with a CMS that we loved using. TakeShape distills the best ideas from our favorite CMSs along with new ideas of our own.

Launching TakeShape on Product Hunt

Today we’re very excited to finally be able to share TakeShape with you.

You can check out TakeShape on Product Hunt!

We've spent years building content experiences using every kind of CMS available. We always wanted a tool like TakeShape so we decided to build it.

TakeShape is the only service which provides all the elements of the JAMStack in one product. Flexible content modeling, GraphQL API and Static Site generation all with a simple to use web UI and CLI for developers. We see that future of the web will be built with a balance of static and dynamic content so we've built TakeShape to support that vision.

To celebrate the launch on Product Hunt use code 'product-hunt' for 25% off the first 12 months of any paid plan.

People are already building some awesome stuff with TakeShape and we're really excited to see what comes next! It's free to sign up and you can get started building quickly with one of our free starter projects and templates.

New Feature - Annotations!

Content types now include annotations. Previously content types could be marked as "Single" or "Multiple", we've added a "Taxonomy" option and named this concept annotations.

  • Annotations allow us to make optimizations on the backend and to the user experience.

  • Annotating as a "Taxonomy" allows the relationships between content entires to be surfaced to users when filtering in the asset views and entry list views.

  • A good taxonomy is something you'll use to classify other thing. Tags, Categories, Topics, Subjects, Genres, and even Authors. Right now the way a taxonomy is used in the UI is to help filter lists.

Major Update to Collaboration Features!

  • Editors and Viewers are now displayed on content lists
  • Viewers are now displayed on content entries
