Elixir & Phoenix Deployment Automation
I've been working on more and more Elixir/Phoenix projects in the last two years and something that frustrates me every time is the deployment process. It's a long and tedious process with many potential breaking points and I've wasted so many hours and days just getting a site live. Even once I do, the typical deployment pipeline for Elixir feels fragile and like it might prevent me from shipping updates as quickly or may sidetrack me too often.
I don't want to use containers because they're designed around being expendable and stateless. Many of Elixir's strengths are around stateful persistence, self healing, and distributed networking with other nodes. In short, using containers with Elixir is sort of getting the worst of both worlds, or adding a lot of overhead.
So I've decided to solve my own problems and make the easiest and most enjoyable Elixir & Phoenix deployment service there is. Think Laravel Forge but for Elixir, and with a much stronger focus on convenience at all times. Configuring a new server and deploying to production should be something you can do on a whim and a few clicks.

About
Everything about Elixir is pretty awesome but deploying it is difficult, tedious and easy to mess up. Tap.works makes it awesome to deploy, and I want that for my own projects.
