Tascflow
Time tracker with integrated breaks to work efficiently.
After roughly a month of being live, I haven't received any paying subscribers.
My features aren't as complete as I would like and that is my primary suspicion that there haven't been any.
Feedback has been extremely difficult to obtain, so I'm thinking this is the best way to provide more value to users and hopefully encourage more sign ups.
If it picks up steam, I may look into alternative monetization down the line.
I also did a quiet launch on Product Hunt that resulted in a ton of traffic and the biggest jump in users so far. Very pleasantly surprised by that!
Since soft launching two weeks ago, Tascflow has the following traffic stats:
199 uniques
509 page views
1m 18s avg visit duration
2 users signed up
I think this is due to the following:
Time tracking is hilariously competitive, and Tascflow's differentiator is small.
Time tracking isn't a painful problem for most people, therefore hard to 'sell' for me.
I've made a small pivot to include exporting projects with the free plan, so it can do everything the paid one can. (With the exception of unlimited projects)
I'm not expecting any crazy changes here and will likely close it in a few weeks.
It's not an upbeat 'milestone', but I felt like putting it out there. The biggest mistake I made with this project was not looking at the competition before jumping in.

Have you calculated the market size for time tracking apps?
I would imagine it’s very high since almost every corporation and business out there use time tracking in some capacity daily.
Have you thought about taking the time tracking to start off with to freelancers who more often than not bill their customers on time spent rather than a flat fee.
If you have been working on this for just a couple of weeks give it more time. You won’t be the next Microsoft overnight.-

Talking to freelancers is a good idea, it couldn't hurt to see how they're currently handling their time tracking.

I've had experience with a lot of languages, but not much and never shipped a web app.
I used PHP, MySQL, with a little Bootstrap to build it.
Progress was consistent and it's what I knew.
It took 31 days to build - 28 was the goal, so very close.
Now it's time to gather feedback and figure out where it goes from here.

As a game developer, I was logging my time using a google timer + spreadsheet. Serviceable, but prone to mistakes / cumbersome to launch every time. Tascflow makes that process simple, and located in one place.
