I decided to stop working on Taskforce. There are a ton of competitors in the productivity space, and my heart just isn't in the right place to put in the work required to make Taskforce one of the best.
Pivoted Away from Taskforce
After months of stagnant revenue and retention issues, we decided to stop working on Taskforce and build a more fully-fledged productivity tool called Siasto.
Started Charging
Taskforce was always free before this point, but we abandoned that "plan" and instead decided to charge for access to special features. We ended up generating about $2,000 in revenue overnight!
Accepted to Y Combinator
Nic and I applied for the batch of Winter 2011, and we made it in!
Met Niccolo
Nic and I met on Hacker News after he made a post looking for a new cofounder. I'd just moved to San Francisco and was eager to work on a startup, but wasn't enthused about starting from scratch by myself.
I stopped actively working on Taskforce in 2016.
Since then it's remained in maintenance mode and generated small amounts of passive income each month.
