TastyDomain
Premium keyword domain marketplace
A year into the project, I've come to the realization that being a successful domain investor requires more time and work than I have capacity for.
Thus, I am selling the entire domain portfolio + TastyDomain website + marketing assets as a single package. It is currently for sale in a Flippa auction.
This is a huge head start + opportunity for anybody that has aspired to become a domain investor 🚀
Think of it as a "domainer starter kit".
In fact, it IS a domain starter kit!
Here is a microsite I built to promote the whole shebang: https://domainerstarterkit.com/
V1 of the TastyDomain website was hosted on Carrd, which is a great single-page website builder.
But it fell a bit short in a couple areas, and I became very impressed by the Softr.io website builder, so migrated the marketplace from Carrd to Softr.
There are a lot of additional capabilities on Softr that I am not yet using (such as payments to actually facilitate domain sales directly on-site), but so far am happily using it as an upgraded CMS.

The 200+ domains in the marketplace are just sitting there doing, well, not much while they wait to find a buyer.
Then the lightbulb moment hits! 💡
I'm already using Carrd to host the TastyDomain website, which is a kickass single-page site builder. Carrd offers a tier of service to host up to 250(!) websites, which makes me think: I should put each of the domains onto Carrd and publish a custom "For sale" landing page.
In addition to just looking more professional overall, there is 1 other massive benefit: I now immediately have 200+ backlinks to TastyDomain.com from premium keyword domains.
This is where Carrd is owed a huge shout out: they charge $219 per year to host up to 250 websites. That means each custom landing page costs ~$0.88 per year... or $0.07 per month. Insane value! 🤯

An additional 100+ domains were added to the marketplace, bringing the total available to ~220.
The domain portfolio skews heavily towards .io and .co extensions, and at this point I discover that there are a lot of people with a lot of strong feelings about extensions that aren't dot com :)

Concept for my domain name marketplace is born under the TastyDomain brand during the early days of the pandemic.
Got a logo designed, launched the landing page, scored the matching Twitter handle, and purchased the first 100 domains to seed the marketplace. LFG!

I launched this project to graduate from being a domain addict-hobbyist (like many of you 😉) into an actual domain investor 🤝 It's also been a project to build further experience working with various no-code tools 🛠
