Tech Jobs for Good

As of January 1st, Tech Jobs for Good has had over 50,000 visitors look for tech jobs at organizations working on impacting social & environmental issues.

I'm looking forward to continuing to help purpose-driven organizations hire in the coming decade.

Tech Jobs for Good just broke 1,000 visitors a day for the first time because the site was shared a few times in a reddit thread on how to find impactful jobs as a software engineer.

I don't always do a good job of celebrating my wins along the way & since last week was particularly rough, I took a celebratory shot of whiskey & am sharing the accomplishment here.

I just added search and location filtering for the Tech Jobs for Good community events page.

This should make it a lot easier to find social impact tech events that you are interested in or are near you.

I hope that this helps encourage people to engage with their local community & is part of a larger strategy to make Tech Jobs for Good more than just a job board, but rather a go-to place for people who want to impact the world using technology.

I've been working on building more ways for people on Tech Jobs for Good to connect with each other & share their expertise.

While there's a lot of news about people using technology for good, I would like to see more technical explanation for how these tools are built, collaboration on projects, and lessons learned shared with the broader community.

It's a great way for people who want to get involved with people who are using technology to address complex social & environmental issues in their own communities.

I launched saved searches which allow job seekers to get emailed when a job matches a search that they've made on the site. This is important for job seekers who are looking for specific roles and I'm hoping to grow the number of job seekers on the site with this offering.
