While we've been busy planning our new content offerings and re-engaging the community, we got 3 new paying members!

The only marketing we've done is a few "build in public" posts on Twitter (X), 2 Reddit comments, and a few from the Tech Workers Club LinkedIn page (280+ followers, just starting to build).

We are starting our re-engagement campaign to current free members this week and doing some public marketing across LinkedIn, email, and a partner channel.

There is potential from the re-engagement campaign alone to generate $15k+ with just a 1% conversion rate. I'm hopeful to get closer to 3-5%, which is a meaningful amount just from the existing audience. But the community may need more trust built with us first since no one was monitoring it for months prior to our acquisition.

Since acquiring Tech Workers Club two weeks ago, we've been working towards re-engaging the community before launching new premium channels.

The previous owners let the 20k+ community die down by not managing it for months. They just got super busy. But a community requires value to members and a flow of community management to keep people engaged.

I've been monitoring Acquire.com for over a year now for a potential business to buy.

Nothing really stuck out to me (a TON of random AI companies, blah) and the ones that did look appealing, had some insanely high multiples that I could not afford.

Recently, something stood out. And it also sounded very familiar.

Here, I was already a member of the community business and it was now up for sale! It was also in a good price range and in an industry I know well.

With a silent partner (we are 50/50), we acquired this community, which has over 20,000 tech professionals around the world within it.

We have plans to re-engage the community (which even when the original owners haven't done much in months, people were still in the channels), adjust the value of the community a bit, and build a better site/brand/content.
