Newsletter for Product Engineers

October 15, 2025 I built a newsletter I actually wanted to read — here’s why

Hey IH,

I’m a full-stack engineer juggling AI, frontend, backend, infra, and security every day. I kept subscribing to newsletters hoping to stay updated — but they were either:

  • Too shallow (just headlines, no depth)

  • Too niche (React-only, AI-only, etc.)

  • Or full of marketing fluff

So I decided to build Tech Upkeep — a bi-weekly newsletter that curates high-signal content across the full stack. Everything is manually filtered from 110+ sources to cut the noise and keep only what’s genuinely useful.

Why I’m doing this:

Motivation was tricky at first. I kept asking myself: “Will anyone care?” The thing that kept me going: solving my own frustration first. Shipping imperfectly and celebrating small wins — like the first subscribers and thoughtful feedback — kept me motivated.

Curious:

I’d love to hear from others juggling side projects or multiple newsletters — how do you stay motivated and avoid burnout?
