I'm a Technical PM and over the last 2-3 months I built and shipped my first Android app solo. No coding background, just AI tools and a problem I wanted to solve.

The problem: I kept losing billable hours between clients. Every time tracker I tried (Toggl, Clockify, Harvest) was either too complex or too ugly to open every day. I wanted one tap to start, one tap to stop — nothing else.

So I built Tempo.

- One tap to start/stop tracking

- Billable vs non-billable toggle per session

- Daily & weekly reports

- Custom projects with icons & colors

- Fully offline — no account needed

What I learned shipping solo:

1. Simplicity is harder than complexity — deciding what NOT to build was the real work

2. Early testers catch everything — bugs, UX issues, missing features

3. The story matters as much as the product — people connect with the why

Just hit 10 downloads on day one with zero marketing. Now figuring out distribution.
