May 2014 Got enough app installs to cover Apple Dev license

Didn’t do much promotion or anything really other than fixing a few bugs and releasing updates on app stores. A few happy users wrote about it on Twitter and blogs which helped to boost installs organically.

The funny thing is that within 6 months of launch on app stores, it got a lot more sales on Google Play Store which paid for the developer license required by Apple and their App Store.

November 5, 2013 First paid installs on app stores

Launched it, tweeted about it and people starting buying the app on both iOS and Android devices. I played around with the app price increasing it until no one bought it for a week. Then I started reducing the price a few cents until I started getting sales again.

About

Temppo was an "excuse" to design an app and learn a new technology (back in 2013) so initially created just as a proof of concept. Then it grew up to be an actual app built on HTML5.
