Hi everyone!
I wanted to share a project I've been working on for quite some time.
The idea came from a simple observation: millions of people have already downloaded their raw DNA data from services like 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA, or Genotek, but there aren't many simple ways to explore the health-related information contained in those files.
So I built TenDNA.
Users can upload their raw DNA file and receive a detailed health report with:
250+ pages of personalized genetic insights
SNP interpretations
Links to scientific publications supporting each reported association
A free version to try before purchasing the full report
No registration required
One design decision was especially important to me: genetic files are never stored on the server. The report is generated in real time, delivered to the user immediately, and the uploaded DNA file is not retained afterward.
Building the analysis engine took much longer than I expected. The biggest challenge wasn't parsing DNA files—it was organizing thousands of SNP associations into reports that are useful, easy to read, and supported by scientific literature.
I'd love to get feedback from other founders:
Does the privacy-first approach make the service more trustworthy?
Is "no registration required" something that would make you more likely to try a product?

What I found interesting is that you're making privacy part of the product experience rather than something hidden in the terms of service.
For something as personal as genetic data, the way information is handled can become just as important to trust as the report itself.
