Tenox

When people talk about SaaS, a lot of attention goes to shiny categories: AI tools, creator products, marketing automation, developer platforms.

I decided to work on something much less glamorous: software for contractors and field teams.

I’m building Tenox, a contractor operations platform for managing projects, workers, time tracking, tasks, and site records in one place.

Why this problem matters

A lot of small and mid-sized contractors still run their businesses through a mix of:

• phone calls and text messages

• paper notes

• spreadsheets

• WhatsApp groups

• generic project management tools

• disconnected time tracking and admin workflows

The result is predictable: things get missed, records are inconsistent, managers waste time chasing updates, and field teams end up working around software instead of with it.

Most tools are either:

• too generic, or

• too bloated, or

• clearly designed for office teams rather than real job site workflows.

That gap is what Tenox is meant to address.

What Tenox is trying to do

The goal is not to build “another task app.”

The goal is to build something practical enough that a contractor can actually use it day to day without feeling like they need to adapt their whole business to the software.

Tenox focuses on a few core workflows:

• project organization

• team management

• task coordination

• time tracking

• site records and documentation

The product is designed to work across desktop, tablet, and mobile, because that’s how these teams actually operate. Office staff, managers, and field workers all interact with the same operation in different ways.
