Most relationship apps are designed to increase screen time, demanding constant pings, status updates, and location tracking. For professionals—especially those in long-distance relationships—this doesn't foster intimacy; it fosters anxiety. It turns the act of loving someone into a digital chore.
I’m Rose, and I’m currently building Tether.
Tether isn’t another dating app. It’s a Relationship Sanctuary. We are building an anti-noise platform designed to prioritize peace, support, and depth over constant connectivity.
Why we’re building it:
Solving Emotional Asymmetry: We’re bridging the gap between partners who feel neglected and those who feel overwhelmed by the pressure of 24/7 digital availability.
Intentional Connection: Instead of mindless texting, we use haptic-based check-ins and a 'Smart-Investment Engine' to help couples stay connected without the cognitive load.
Privacy-First: We don't sell data, and we don't use ads. Our focus is on the user's emotional health.
We are currently in the development phase, focusing on the backend architecture to ensure that the experience is stable, private, and high-performance.

The phrase "Relationship Sanctuary" caught my attention because it changes the competitive landscape. I'd keep validating whether couples are buying another communication app or permission to feel connected without being constantly available. That's a much stronger emotional promise.

It isn't about more features or more notifications; it’s about providing that 'permission' to connect deeply without the burnout of constant availability. I’m definitely keeping this focus on the 'emotional promise' at the center of my validation process as we build out the backend.
