September 7, 2026 Launched TextFlick: the script is the video

Chat story videos are one of the most-watched faceless formats on TikTok, and until now making one meant a second phone, a screen recording and an editor. TextFlick renders the conversation from a written script: type the messages, add typing dots and pauses, pick a Telegram-, WhatsApp- or iMessage-style look, download a 1080x1920 MP4. The browser preview and the server render share one deterministic engine, so what you see is exactly what you download. Free plan: 5 videos a month with a watermark; Pro is $9/month. fair question, and too early for me to claim a retention number honestly. what I see so far: whoever makes a second video does it the same day, because the first takes 15-20 min and the second takes 3 - the script already exists, they swap names and re-export in another look. so the bet is that repeat use isn't "make another video", it's "make the same story again for a different account or platform". if that doesn't hold up over a month, the honest answer is it's a one-off tool and I'll say so.

The deterministic render is a nice workflow detail, but the bigger test seems repeat usage. Are creators coming back to produce multiple videos because TextFlick removes enough editing friction, or is it mostly a one-off tool for this format?
