The Daily Startup Club
Share and discover great tools and resources for startups.
I soft launched on December 1st and have seen 100 sessions over 10 days.
I took a quick look at Google Analytics and quickly noticed that almost half of those sessions were from a single day...
The question is what did I do on that day?
I replied to a Doka milestone from @rikschennink
I tweeted about FormSpree
Anyone know how to better answer this question?
The Daily Startup Club has been live online and on Twitter for a week tomorrow.
Honestly, I've been disappointed with the lack of growth on Twitter; but it's my first time to attempt to grow an audience on Twitter. So, no real surprise I've got some work to do...
But...
I got my first (and second) newsletter subscriber!

So far I've been bootstrapping all the content myself... That's fine, doing so was in my launch plan (60 days of bootstrapped content before launch, though I soft launched with a little less than 30)
Earlier today The Daily Startup Club received it's first submission while I was sleeping!
I feel like Anakin in Episode I when his podracer runs for the first time 😁
I hadn't originally planned on launching The Daily Startup Club until the new year, but it was ready and a Tweet by @IndieHackers prompted me to give it a go!
So far I've gained 3 followers on Twitter and gotten a few visits to https://thedailystartup.club.

It's been a personal goal for years to get better at marketing, community, and audience building. Being a developer for 20 years, I know that being able to iterate rapidly is the best way to learn...
I've enjoyed Product Hunt, BetaPage, et al, for quite some time, and as an Indie Hacker, I can discover good products and services there, but there's a lot of Apple Watches, Cyber Trucks, and other consumer products there. It's not exactly targeted at the bootstrapped indie hacker's needs.
So I decided to build something that will let me learn a little about SEO, social media (Twitter), and community/audience building while providing genuine value to others.

Product Hunt, BetaPage etc are all great and although founders can find tools to build a startup on them, I wanted to create something more focused on the needs of my fellow indie hackers!

I usually do the same. Look at analytics and see where the traffic originates from.
