The Friday
Don't let your highlights disappear
Just an hour ago I delivered access to 12 beta users. I didn't shared the landing page or something heavily on Twitter. I just DMed 10-15 of some of my professional connections a day before it and mailed them using SendGrid today.
Ps. I am using SendGrid for mailing the list and bulk emailing using node js as well.
Finalllyyy!! I am done with all the features including highlighting content on a web page using chrome extension, sending it to db, showing them on website, ability to search and browse, adding the highlights to Twitter feed. Moreover, I recorded a 58.95 seconds demo video and finalized the landing page. Now the only thing left is to setup sendgrid daily/weekly mails. I am almost done with that as well but there are some issues in managing the data. Will hopefully be able to put everything out by Sunday.

Hey everyone! I had some progress. In 3ish days, I made the MVP which is a simple chrome extension that shows 10 recent bookmarks in your twitter feed. I just want to test the concept. I have a lot of things planned further.
Moreover, I laid out the basic design for the landing page. It can be found here, https://thefriday.vercel.app/.
I will soon attach a sendgrid email form because that is what will be used to send weekly emails.
Besides that I thought of the business model. Not very sure about it but I think it can work if I get good numbers.

Hey @digvijay not sure if it's done purpose or an accident, the demo video seems to be Bohemian Rhapsody | Muppet Music Video | The Muppets. Is this correct?

Haha, yeah as I said the landing page isn't ready yet. It's just the layout of it. I will change it with a demo soon. Thanks for taking time to check and reply! Really appreciate that.

I started working on The Friday to solve my own itch, I am terrible at reviewing back the bookmarks and highlights I take while browsing the web. I often forget or be lazy enough to not refer them back.
I spend a lot of time scrolling through my Twitter feed.
Why can't this content be folded into my natural dopamine hook?
Here I go, I started tinkering around with tutorials on how to make a browser extension.
