August 21, 2020 Deployed to test server

Today I set up and deployed The Growth Gardener to a test server.

I got a friend to run a smoke test using iPhone and send screenshots. So far everything looks good.

Next I need to iron out the error states and give the user some great , easy to understand feedback, both textual and design wise if an error is encountered.

I'm spending a lot of time and energy making the form for taking surveys as super smooth, super fast and super user friendly as I can make them.

August 19, 2020 First real test of The Growth Gardener on a phone

Today I was finally ready to make my very first test of the user facing part of The Growth Gardener using a cell phone.

I used GNROK to set up a tunnel to my local machine and tried using the app using my phone. It is quite different from mobile mode in Chrome and Firefox. You can't really compare the two experiences, so from now on I will do a lot more testing on my phone.

Tomorrows plan: get a publicly accessible development server up and running. Work on the error states and how they look and feel on a real phone.

August 18, 2020 Three weeks in

This is attempt number...well who is counting...of creating a side business/product.

This time I'm pretty disciplined about it, meaning I don't spend all my spare time on the project and burn out in a few weeks and nothing is achieved beside a lot of activity and me becoming exhausted.

This time I'm working on it 60-90 minutes every day before my "real" job. And I don't work weekends either.

After three weeks of this regime, I think it is working. Things get done, only at a slower pace. On the upside, I have more time to mull things over and my impression is of a better more deliberate product. But that's only me. No one has even seen it yet.

I'm building software for running Superhuman style product/market fit engines. If you want to join the waiting list for the early access program you can do so here:

About

I started working on The Growth Gardener after I got involved with finding product market fit for a web-app at work. The first thing I'm making is a one stop roadmap builder for getting to product-market fit.
