Aggregates and tracks prices for Whisky
Scraping websites to track prices turned out to be unscalable. Not only does it take a very long time per website, but it is also unreliable with flaky networks. It also becomes very costly due to the hosting required to run the long running scraping.
The scraping did give me enough data to show a POC and got me accepted into affiliate networks. Through these networks, I can get access to product feeds directly. This massively simplifies my headaches!
During the great UK Lockdowns of 2020 I discovered a passion for whisky. I also discovered how hard it is to find specific whiskies and how expensive they can be. I decided to track the prices so I could buy them when they were on sale. The Liquor Project was born.

How are you driving traffic to the site?
I'm really not at the moment, I've tried some SEO but it's not doing to great haha. Got any advice?
