Get sounds for your apps, bundled into packs
I asked a few good friends what they thought of the site. Was the messaging clear? Was it attractive? Did people know what they were likely to get? Was I blind to some of the usability issues that might have cropped up on my site?
This is another example of where you can appreciate the value of your network. A few people who were experts in their field, were helping me for free, simply because I'd built some meaningful relationships on Twitter in 2021. If you're not talking with other indiehackers and public builders on Twitter, you really should!
Here's the backstory. After spending some time in my new, amazing job role, I decided to come back to the idea of creating audio products.
I'd spent 2021 trying a lot of different things, with music creations for brands being my sole income. I was lucky enough to land some clients, but I never settled on a single idea, which made things more difficult for me to clearly tell people what I could do for them.
I basically pitched so many different music and audio creation services that it became hard to really hone in on any of them. My second problem was I was quickly running out of runway, so the love of making music as a full time thing turned to disappointment, desperation and sadness.
So, 8 months out. Back with a fresh perspective and a love of music creation again, feeling grateful for the client work I did do during that period, which was amazing on reflection.
I decided I'd try selling UI Sound Packs for apps after doing a small gig in this area in 2021. I'd enjoyed the project and felt like I was good at it. I'd also seen that there wasn't a MASSIVE need for this service in general, but there might be space for me.

About
I've created Melobleep to help people to use sound to make their app experiences engaging and clear. Many apps with smaller audiences might see UI sounds as something of a luxury. I'm trying to make it more accessible.
