August 31, 2020 My First SaaS Planning guide is LIVE!!

Finaly I got the launch. To be honest this to closer end I was doubtfull whther I will even finish it.

Thanks everybody who supported me and gave valuble feedback.

📕 I created this guide to help non-tech founders organize their SaaS idea and vision into something they can pass on to devs and designers.

I hope my guide will help some of you to get your SaaS idea live, turn it into a successful business, and solve the problems the world faces today.

Lessons learned while building this guide:

  • Get started - Sit down to write is actually harder then writing itself

  • Reach out and ask for feedback - Get real-world feedback is easier than it seems. Just reach out to people and ask.

  • Many people are willing to help. For me reaching out was uncomofrtable but still many people replayed with help.

  • Learn how to listen to feedback. Asking is only half of the game. Feedback is useless if you get offended and can't listen to it. Look for the informaion you can use to make a product better.

  • Don't make things more complicated. I often notice that I overcomiplcate things. It is ofetn caused by the fear. Keep things simple

August 9, 2020 Got first feedback on the guide

Getting real-world feedback is taught by itself. But it is only half of the problem.

Listening to it is also a challenge.

I asked several guys to give their opinion on the guide I am working on.

They gave.

And it was quite uncomfortable:)

The problem wasn’t in the guys whom I asked for feedback.

It was in me.

I overidentified myself with my work. I reflected the judgment of my work on me as a person.

After I cooled down, I found such valuable pieces of advice that made my work way better. If I wouldn’t listen to it with a cold head, I would just lose all the value, my friends kindly gave me!

Lesson learned, edits made :) Hope the new version of the guide now is a bit better.

Lesson: To make feedback valuable you need not only ask for it but also to use it.
