The PuppetHero Digest
Newsletter about JavaScript & Puppeteer based web automation
This was my first time managing an email campaign of any type and my first time using MailChimp to do so. The goal for my first issue was to setup a process for curating or creating content for the newsletter. For curation I built a Trello board I can use to store links to articles I may publish. As I get closer to the publishing date I'll find a handful of articles I think are good and I begin summarizing. Once I have enough for the next issue, I build the email in MailChimp.
So far so good, I'm still tweaking my writing style and getting a feel for what and what doesn't work with regard to the content and marketing the newsletter.
The idea was to create some content and build an audience. I want to be able to identify a potential market for Marionetty. I decided that I am going to start a newsletter as a way to build an audience and gauge interest in a service like Marionetty. I want to be able to answer the following questions:
Is there a market for a Saas offering like Marionetty?
If there is, what would people find to be of most value?
How much would the market pay, individually and enterprise?
Would they value having API access?
What about an easy way to record puppeteer scripts?
The name of the newsletter will be PuppetHero.
