The Ranked Lab
Scan your site for 50 SEO issues & get fixes delivered fast
Hey Indie Hackers 👋
I've been working on The Ranked Lab, a free SEO audit tool built around a simple problem: SEO audits often give you a long list of issues, but figuring out what actually matters and what to fix first can be the harder part.
I wanted to create something simpler for website owners, indie hackers, developers, and small businesses who don't necessarily need a full enterprise SEO platform just to understand the health of their website.
The Ranked Lab analyzes a website and identifies technical SEO issues, along with performance and security-related checks.
The goal is not to overwhelm users with hundreds of metrics. It's to make the audit easier to understand and give people a practical starting point for improving their website.
What I'm focusing on
Technical SEO issues
Crawlability and indexing-related checks
On-page SEO signals
Website performance
Security-related checks
Clearer audit reporting
Making issues easier to understand and act on
The tool is currently free to use, and I'm still actively improving it.
One thing I'm particularly interested in getting right is the quality of the audit report. I don't want it to become another tool that gives you a score and a huge list of warnings without helping you understand what deserves attention first.
So I'd really appreciate feedback from people here who build or manage websites:
What is the one thing you find most frustrating about existing SEO audit tools?
Is it too much information, unclear recommendations, inaccurate issues, poor prioritization, expensive plans, or something else?
That's the kind of feedback I'm looking for while developing The Ranked Lab.
You can try it here: https://therankedlab.com/
Would love to hear what you think — especially what you'd change or improve.
About
We created The Ranked Lab to make SEO auditing simpler and more accessible. Many website owners know that SEO issues can affect their rankings, but they don’t always know what’s wrong or where to start.
