The Stakeholder Report

I just passed over 300 subscribers this past weekend (302 today). I’m trying my of the LinkedIn group tactics to push a new niche types into my circle and subscribe.

I’ve also moved off of Substack and onto Ghost. While I understand not everyone like Ghost, I like having my own domain (TheStakeholderReport.com), so...

I have also been thinking a lot about monetizing or at least son pocket money. I think I may try the “support us” route first with perks. The niche I write in, project/program management, makes me want to keep everything open for this to lean. However, who know in the end.

Yesterday I hit a personal goal of getting 200 subscribers to The Stakeholder Report! I've been doing a lot of one on one evangelicalism which I honestly felt a little shady of at first. I've never really had to self-promote my own wares before. However, in the end, I realized that nobody else is going to do it for me.

I do have a goal to monetize this newsletter after I hit 10 consecutive issues (I just released #5); however, I'm still trying to figure out how to do so. One thought is to offer daily news round-up in the space of Project Management, but I'm unsure if people would be willing to pay $3-5/month for that.

Any ideas from the crowd here on IH?

The Stakeholder Report just put out their 4th Issue yesterday. As of this afternoon, I'm up to the 155 subs with an open rate of 33%. However, the only bad I see from this is the lack of clicking on links to learn more about what the discussion is. That being said, it's time to keep moving forward.

Hey everyone, just a quick update on my weekly newsletter. Not a big deal compared to many newsletter on here, but progress is being made.

Thus far subscriptions have increased to 83 and open rates are at 103.52%. I'm guessing that means people are opening it multiple times. But hey, I'll take it.

It's a slow and steady race to somewhere... unsure where the end it though.

I've started the weekly newsletter this week. It will be going out to only 57 subscribers (free), but it's a start. I don't have a real plan going forward with regard to monetization, but I would like to do so as a side-gig if possible. So, anyone who has an idea, I'm game.

Launched a weekly newsletter for Project Management news. The idea was actually in the works with 12 previous days of "Daily Updates" from my PM centric site Project Management Five (pmfive.co). After trying to work this daily I found it was too hard to work the daily update so I made the move to the weekly concept.
