The Writer's Job Newsletter
The best remote freelancing writing jobs, every week.
It's great to have some recurring revenue from premium subscribers. It helps to cover costs of the contractor I'm using to manage the social media profiles.
I'm finding now, though, that selling newsletter sponsors is a grind. Finding, selling, and organizing the advertising slots each week is a low leverage activity.
It takes a lot of time per post, even when using platforms like Swapstack and Paved.
I've decided to shift social focus purely to Twitter. It's where most writers spend time and where the types of jobs I share are available.
I've reduced the contractors hours in half since there will be a lot less cross posting across others (Facebook page, Facebook groups, Medium etc.)
There might be a time and a place for those, but the strategy right now is to focus.

Decided to double down on the newsletter after introducing paid subscriptions. Paying subscribers get access to a database of historic job postings and a library of paying publications.
Planning on keeping steady state growth for the next month before switching strategy. I've got a hunch that focusing on proven growth channels (Twitter and Reddit) will lead to more growth than the current spread.

Freelance writing can be magical. But the system is broken: writers are underpaid and undervalued. I help writers make a living doing what they love, and have the freedom to live life on their terms.
