This is Candor

The podcast went live on May 6th with the first episode! A few months later and I've published 14 episodes. The goal going forward is to publish 3 episodes/month.

I was pleasantly surprised by how many guests agreed to be on the podcast (even before I launched). I had about a ~40% reply rate of "yes" after the first email or LinkedIn message from cold outreach. An additional ~10% said yes after a follow-up message.

In other roles I would send another couple of follow-ups on cold outreach if I haven't had a reply, however, with a pandemic in full swing, I'm trying to be sensitive that many folks are facing immense challenges.

The pandemic inspired me to launch a podcast. But truthfully, it's something I had wanted to do this for years. While in quarantine, it was the perfect time to get started. In April I set up a landing page, learned podcast production, reached out to potential guests, and began recording interviews.
