Making mens candles!
April was my most successful month so far. I've sold 4 orders. Minute, I know, but everyone has to start somewhere. I'm deep in the red considering the needed startup costs, but April was the month where chips were made against the delta.
Today, a prior buyer left me a 5-star review. He dropped some very nice lines, and I'm super appreciative of him taking the time to do so. Hopefully I'll be able to receive more of these in the future.
On my Etsy store, I sold my first pair of candles.
Unfortunately I actually lost money on both sales. I didn't have the weights properly calculated, and this resulted in the shipping provider charging me more than I expected, resulting in a loss.
Some other lessons learned were that I need to have materials on hand -- like always. Luckily the second buyer was very empathetic and understanding, and was willing to work with me on a delay.
Hopefully I can keep the ball rolling on this project.

This may be small, but this might be the first project where I actually got a user to click on my project.
My main strategy right now is to focus on content marketing, and put out read-worthy, insightful content to build some authority within the community (online/offline). While doing so, I'll also be refining my craft on candle-making.

I've read so many times that you should solve your own problem, and so last week I sat down to think about all the problems in my life.
It turned out that I had quite a few problems worth solving, and the most interesting one led me to the idea for thoughtfulcandles!

I wanted a more hands-on way to express my creative freedom. It exists because I found it a nuisance when looking for men-focused candles that fit a minimalist style.
